Not as difficult as advertised (0/1 people found this helpful)

Good for a bit of fun but not as difficult as the book makes out.

To keep those brain cells entertained (1/1 people found this helpful)

As far as sudoku books go this is pretty decent. Time consuming, sufficiently challenging to keep me entertained but not too difficult. I think sudoku is perfect for anyone who's methodological but doesn't like to stress - a bit like meditation. In that sense this book isn't half bad and it's certainly going to last me at least a couple of months. For those looking for more of a challenge I'd recommend '100 Samurai Sudoku Puzzles' by the same guy though.

The new edition (9/9 people found this helpful)

A seriously large collection of difficult Sudoku puzzles.
They are not extremely difficult, maybe a little easier than fiendish, but they still keep you occupied for some time. Even though there are 200 puzzles, the book is still not too bulky and the paper quality is good. All in all, good quality puzzles - handmade and tested to make sure they only have one solution, no guessing here, which is just as it should be.

This book should have a warning sign! (10/12 people found this helpful)

When I unsuspectingly bought this book I thought I was getting pretty good at this...I must have missed a turn somewhere, because I just looked at these puzzles and had no idea where to begin. Thankfully there were some examples and when I started trying them out I managed to get some numbers in. I don't think I'll need another Sudoku book for a long time because this will take me months to get through. The book itself is a good size, it may not fit in you pocket very well, but there's room to write and it's not small and thick like some of the others. All in all, it's as the author says, not for the beginner!

Finally a book with harder sudokus (15/17 people found this helpful)

Have you tired of the simpler puzzles available in the Times? This book will last me a long time. The puzzles reveal few numbers, but still (so far at least) are all logically solvable (which has NOT been the case with all previous puzzles found in books). Having bought a number of books, this is my favorite so far (having solved 40 puzzles as of yet). Also, at the current price it represents good value per puzzle (not to mention great value per hard puzzle).
