This book is clear to understand & contains a small section of clear reading to make sure you get how it works, i liked that it showed you the patterns as musical score as well as a typical midi score. he beats so far seem good but defenatly need alittle personalising, as well as basic beats the book gives good enough examples of fills (called breakes in the book), the book is clearly sectioned out well
The only problem for alot of people is that it dont cover electronica, no house, hip-hop or D&B!!! these where the areas i had hoped it would help with! but still the genres it does cover can easily be adapted (&& the funk beats can be used to make funky house easily enough), Im not dissapointed with the book & gave it 4 stars because its good in the areas it uses (just dont expect electronica or to not need to make personal edits to the beats)
Overall a good simple book to get any beginners making beats that would other wise take alot of effort to learn & master!
