The Woman's Murder Club is to Die For! (0/0 people found this helpful)

I had just finished two thrillers in a row-"Firestorm," by Iris Johansen and "Desperation Moon" by Ken Douglas-that had me up and raring to go, so I figured why not go for a third that I knew would get my heart racing even more. I picked up "3rd Degree" and I was off. First off you have to know about the Woman's Murder Club. The members are San Francisco Police Detective Lindsay Boxer, Assistant DA Jill Bernhardt, Medical Examiner Claire Washburn, and crime reporter Cindy Thomas and "3rd Degree", is the best book in the series by far. These women first got together in "1st to Die" and started getting together more often, going over what they knew about a murder and thus the Woman's Murder Club was born and it continued on to the next book "2nd Chance" and then to "3rd Degree". I don't know how Messers. Patterson and Gross keep turning out such excellent thrillers, but they do. You can't go wrong with anything of them.

Brilliant :-O (1/1 people found this helpful)

I could not put this book down, I read it from beginning to end in two sittings. Without giving too much away, one of the plots shocked me, in fact I am still in shock. James Patterson truly holds the power in his hands when writing and continues to create turn after twist without making the story unbelievable. This series doesn't only take a look into the main characters life but delves into and behind the enemy line.
I'll give anyone the 3rd Degree if they dont read and agree with this!

A good read. (14/15 people found this helpful)

I enjoyed this book but I did feel that the plot to kill off one of the main characters was a bit weak and throughout the last book I felt that one of them would die eventually. I enjoyed the storyline about the violent relationship and felt that it made you feel a bit closer to the character and made her feel a bit more human. I read the whole book in about 4 hours although it is a book you could easily pick up and put down.
Being a big fan of James Patterson, I felt that it wasn't one of his best but still an enjoyable plot.

Another excellent title by Patterson (8/8 people found this helpful)

A gripping story line mixed with a hint of sadness. Even after being a huge fan of detective Alex Cross, I have found the tales of the Women's Murder Club and Lyndsey Boxer just as captivating. I'm sure any Patterson fan will love this book too. Enjoy reading...
