Can't fault the books in this series, am just always sad when they end. Keep em coming.

I read the first few pages of this on the amazon viewer which it turned out was the prologue.
The book was totally different to what I expected and although I enjoyed it I found it difficult to follow who was who due to the writer switching from the third person to a narrative.
Once I got the hang of it I really did enjoy it although I don't know if I'd buy another of his novels.

No disappointment! (0/0 people found this helpful)

I love James Patterson's books, and this one did not disappoint. I found it slightly harder to get into than the others, but once into the swing of the story I read it in 2 days (working in-between). Can't wait to read the next one in the series.

Disappointing (0/0 people found this helpful)

This has been my least favourite of the womens murder club. I'm getting tired of Lindsey boxer telling us how beautiful she is, in fact I've stopped caring about Lynsey Boxer and, as another reviewer stated, why did she take so long to close these cases? Us readers had figured it out pages before she did. The Yuki story line was just yukky! I got the impression that Patterson penned very few, if any, words of this novel.

Lost the plot! (0/0 people found this helpful)

It wasn't sure whether to add my review or not, given that other reviewers have said it all before me - but here goes. Given that James Patterson seems to be putting out a new book every other week, I'm taking it as a given that Maxine Paetro does most of the writing on this series. But it didn't matter, I really enjoyed the first seven books - so who the heck wrote this one??? It's a bizarre mix of half-baked stories. There's a car chase that only appears to be there to pad out the book; a court case for Yuki that doesn't get resolved but just grinds to a halt; a search for a homeless man's background that turns into a 'just another street punk' tale; a hunt for a murderer that gets resolved almost by accident. It's as if somebody set a clutch of really interesting stories running - and then just ran out of steam and couldn't be bothered to construct any satisfactory endings.
