Reader Reviews:Excellent (2/2 people found this helpful)This came highly recommended in our introductory Old Testament course, and with good reason. It is excellent at describing and assessing critical challenges to the Biblical history of Israel: the academy has got to the point where one can write that no-one seriously believes that Israel existed as a nation that entered Palestine. Great book for sifting through what is in the academy and assessing the evidence.
