Beautifully illustrated with various historical costumes (8/10 people found this helpful)
This book has been a real hit with my daughter, now aged 6. Each story is a set in a different historical period with the costumes changing accordingly. Being so beautifully illustrated and retold in a modern way it's a pleasure for the adult to read - a rare accolade for something which could easily be hackneyed. I'm sure my daughter will be reading this book to herself in time and keeping it to pass on to her children
