'A Catered Christmas' is a cosy murder-mystery, similar in style to the books of Joanne Fluke.
Libby and Bernie are sisters who run a shop and catering business called 'A Little Taste of Heaven.' They are asked to participate in a television catering contest overseen by Kitchen diva, Hortense Calabash. When Hortense is murdered the dirt secrets of all the contestants begin to emerge!
Most of the characters in the novel are well drawn. I particularly liked the girls' cantankerous father, Sean, and Libby's accident prone boyfriend, Marvin. The book also shifts in perspective from chapter to chapter which kept things interesting.
This is a nice little novel, nothing too taxing. I would have liked a few more seasonal touches, but it was still worth a read.
