Reader Reviews:Ideal read for younger children! (1/1 people found this helpful)A Christmas Carol is about an old man called Scrooge who doesn't believe in Christmas spirit but after a while he changes his mind with a little help from three ghosts. Although, I think this book is for younger children I really enjoyed it and once I had finished the book I was pleased with the way it turned out. I now want to read more Dickens.
Not watered down at all (8/8 people found this helpful)I love this book and have read it many times at Christmas. I wanted to read "A Christmas Carol" to my class (Year 3 - 7/8 year olds) and realised I needed a more accessible version for them. This is it. Dickens language and text shines through despite the book being only 80 pages long. It will never replace the original but I would reccommend it to anyone wanting an easy start to classics.
