This book drives Christmas into your heart! (4/7 people found this helpful)

Yes, read the tale and you're ready for the Yule Tide! There is some magic with Christmas, turning even people like Scrooge soft and human. Read it even if you do not believe in Ghosts - well, perhaps you will when the book is done. Scrooge is not only ugly, he is also the boss, the man with power over his clerk and the clerk's family. And because he does not know the meaning of love and kindniess he doesn't either understand Christmas. But the three ghosts know about his weak spots - the weakest of them all being the memory of that lovely girl who had aroused some softer feelings in this miser's breast but yet rejected him because she (and probably anybody else) couldn't believe in a proper change. And Scrooge is learning a lot more during his
ghostly trip - how even poor people can be happy at Christmas time, far happier than himself with all his wealth, and how nicely people do talk about him in spite of all abuse he has shown to the all the year round and in spite of all their burdens. But even a small amount of money
can be a blessing to people without it, some coins for a bigger turkey to a poor family make the Christmas look much brighter - coins which mean nothing to some one like Scrooge. Well, perhaps they do, after all, the gift will change something vital in the hearth and mind of the spender. At least it showed to the three ghosts that the Scrooge was now cured.

The book finished I wasn't the same person as when I took it into my hands - I only hope you'll feel the same!
