Reader Reviews:Immerse yourself in Nature (3/3 people found this helpful)I bought this book as a sixth former after reading newspaper reviews when it first came out. Little did I know then, as a teenager, how much it would capture my imagination and effect my outlook on The Highlands. However I'm not going to comment on Mike Tomkies writing style, just on his content. Try the 3 page trick. Open the book and start reading - if you get to page 3 without noticing it (and you will) then this book is for you.
lost wild places (1/1 people found this helpful)If there is anyone who can capture the reader of their books in the first few sentences, that person is Mike Tomkies. His passion for Wildernesse shows throughout the book. Has achieved a great deal of knowledge over the years in all his natural subjects, no more so in his other brilliant books about the wildcat. Vivat Mike Tomkies. & god bless moobli. Similar ProductsCategoriesAmazon.co.uk places this book into the following categories:
