Reader Reviews:The Tall Python's favorite Python bits (3/3 people found this helpful)This series of "Pocketful of Python" books is quite fun, as each is edited by a different member of the famous Monty Python troup. And therefore you can see some of the differences in each one's sense of humor. John Cleese is known for being the chief architect/writer/performer (along with the greatly missed Graham Chapman) of the skits involving people in authority (solicitors, businessmen, etc) given his huge presence height-wise, and brain-wise. He & Graham were also the writers who loved to come up with what were called the "thesaurus" sketches, where long arguments/discussions could go on forever, using their lofty vocabularies and insanely funny minds. This Pocketful volume gives some insight to John's favorite Python bits and respect for his fellow Pythons' contributions. As with all four volumes published to date, a MUST for any Python fanatic.
