Reader Reviews:Strictly holiday reading (0/0 people found this helpful)Here's another shipment of Christmas stories. Christmas is about traditions and I've made it a tradition of mine to relax after the big festive lunch with one of these books. This one was a bit of a disappointment to me, not up to the standard of the others I've read though it opens with a great story by Allison Lane with characters and dialogue that jump right out of the page at you and has made me go and look for other books by her. As a cat lover I also enojoyed a lot the second story, not the least because the spirited leading lady was a far cry from the usual downtrodden widow or orphan or governess you get in a lot of regencies. Which may be the reason why the third story didn't rated very low with me. Fairchild's too was in my opinion not up to her usual lively quality and the christmassy feeling was really non-existent. Luckily the last story by Edith Layton picks up the spirit quite a bit with its Regency hero stepping right into Sleeping Beauty's own story.
