Reader Reviews:Second thoughts! (1/1 people found this helpful)Since I wrote my initial review of this book I have continued to use it often, simply because the recipes are by far the best Persian recipes I have found, despite having bought several other Persian cookery books in the meantime. And although the index could be better, this is far outweighed by the sheer range of recipes and the fact that they are totally reliable and authentic. Good recipes but not easy to use (8/8 people found this helpful)I have tried several recipes in this book, all of which have been excellent. There are a couple of problems though - the index feels as though it was added as an afterthought and in a hurry and it can be difficult to find a particular recipe unless you know the exact name (if it's listed at all); also in many cases a recipe will say something like "prepare the meat as for prune khoresht" but give no page number, nor is "prune khoresht" listed in the index (and even if it was, it's not ideal to have to flick between two different receipes). That said, I think the book is well worth persevering with - not only is it is a comprehensive collection of authentic receipes, it is also an extremely interesting read CategoriesAmazon.co.uk places this book into the following categories:
