Reader Reviews:

3/5 stars

Good all rounder for beginners to Ada, but lots of typos! (8/8 people found this helpful)

This book covers the basics of Ada 95 programming from the ground up in a concise and understandable way. It should suit beginners, although some previous experience in another language may be fortuitous.

Although aimed at beginners the book moves on rapidly to cover more advanced OOP techniques, and Ada concurrent programming etc. The wealth of technical information tabulated makes it a handy desktop reference as well as a learning tool. I certainly keep my copy on top of the monitor!

One criticism must be made though, there are several typos within the book as I believe it was originally written in a language other than English and then translated. A minor point, but frustrating when you copy code from the text to discover it won't compile because of a spelling mistake!
