While I agree that an unabridged version of this book would be better, this is sold as an abridged version and as such it is hardly fair to give it one star for not being what it never claimed to be.
Alan Bennett is a excellent reader and brings all the characters to life most wonderfully. I bought this and Wind in the Willows (also read by Alan Bennett) for my 3 year old son, and I think I enjoy them more than he does. A joy to listen to.

I bought this audio book hoping to learn the proper pronounciation of the difficult words like 'galumping'...
This however is an abridged version of 'Alice' and 'Through the Looking Glass' omitting all the good stuff
The narrator has a pleasant and distinct voice, but what is the use if he doesn't read the full text?
