Reader Reviews:The Knight's Tale (0/0 people found this helpful)
Classic Cloak And Dagger - Medieval Style 2003 (6/6 people found this helpful)If you're anything like me, you probably hated reading the Canterbury Tales at school. OK, Chaucer is a literary genius of classical verse, and his work has probably had a massively beneficial effect on English literature, but weren't 'The Tales' just really boring confessions of a medieval window cleaner? Well... I must apologise to Chaucer - his pervasive influence is clear in Paul Doherty's series of Chauceresque Pilgrim's Tales. This first episode - The Knight's Tale, is a morbid and suspenseful medieval adventure- and it's simply one of the best books ever written, genre or no genre, period. Michael Crichton, learn from the best! And Mr. Spielberg, when you're ready to make the movie... give me a call! A Haunting Mystery (1/1 people found this helpful)This series is very good. The dark side of the Canterbury Tales. All three books are spellbinding. The twists in the plot and how everyone in the group seems to be part of each story.
