Reader Reviews:A profound and unforgettable book (4/4 people found this helpful)This is one of my favorite books; one of the few which I keep on a special shelf with books that I re-read every few years or so. And with every reading, I discover something new. "Enlightning" in the real sense of the word (3/3 people found this helpful)This is the faszinating tale of a blind man who has survived the horrors of the concentration camp buchenwald under the nazis. But that is only a sideline, a few dozen pages in this wonderfull autobiographie. It is about hope, enlightment and about the love of life!
