Reader Reviews:Wonderfull (1/1 people found this helpful)This is one of my favourite books. It tells the fascinating story about how the first man was put on the moon, NOT from the wiew of the astronauts mind you but from the wiew of the people on the ground. The "Space task force" from NACA that turned into NASA eventually. Mainly it is the story of the Flight Controllers in Houston and it is very well written. It may sound like a cliche but there are parts where it is hard to put down the book. It is chilling, dealing with the Apollo Fire, -funny, telling some of the anecdotes circulating amongst the flight controllers but above all fascinating dealing with the tecnical side of the race. This is not a difficult book to read, it is written very much for the lay man but it gives a good look at the ways you handle large projects. Besides that for someone that works with product development as i do, it gives some usefull hints about good problem solving.
