Reader Reviews:Great handy reference book (56/57 people found this helpful)I would highly recommend this book to any bass player. Scales are a great way to improve your playing and ability to get across the fretboard. This book is particularly good because it discusses scale theory. Rather than blindly learning scales you can see how each group of scales follows set patterns, this helps improvisation skills and saves learning all the different scales. If you only get one scale book, get this one, if you want two, get the Bass Scales Manual by Harvey Vinsen, these two book go really well together.
