Reader Reviews:A quick way to pick up Ruby on Rails (0/0 people found this helpful)This book is essentially a thorough tutorial that will teach you how to write an e-commerce website of your own. This was my first Ruby on Rails book and I found it invaluable. Ruby on Rails is too a broad to learn by picking through a reference manual; however, the tutorial structure of this book helps the reader focus on the essential building blocks that they will need.
Great for an intro to Test Driven Development (1/1 people found this helpful)If you have played around with Rails, but need a little bit of help with how to improve your applications then this might be the book.
Very good RoR beginners book (1/1 people found this helpful)This is a very good book for RoR beginners. If you already know a few things about RoR or are trying to build a real-life ecommerce website then you'll need a more advanced book. But overall a very good starting point.
