Reader Reviews:I think this book was funny. (0/0 people found this helpful)I would recommend this book to everyone because it's all about Ben Franklin's inventions. I think this book was very funny because Amos, the mouse, got tired of fixing his friend's inventions. So he left one electric invention on a chair and an apprentice turned it on and it shocked the Governor on his bottom. I liked the book from Amos' point of view. I also liked how the mouse was helping a man with his inventions. I learned alot about Ben Franklin, for example that he was a soldier. I didn't learn as much about his inventions as I wanted to. I thought the book could have explained more about them. I would liked to have known why Ben made these inventions and what gave Ben the ideas. Overall, I think other children would enjoy this book about Ben Franklin. A Great Book (0/0 people found this helpful)Have you ever been friend to a mouse? In Ben and Me a mouse named Amos is forced to leave home and live with Ben Franklin.I liked this book and thought that it was very funny. It was also exciting during the mouse wars. An example of were it was funny was during the eletiscity expererment(zap). It was also funny during the mouse wars.I think that young readers everywhere should read Ben and Me if they want laughter, excitment and to know something about Ben Franklin. Great Child Story! This book was also made into a short Disney movie. The movie is definatly no subsitute for the book, though. The movie leaves out the best part of the story! A childhood favorite! I wanted to hop into Ben's hat, too, and help discover electricity. Loved the tiny, little book that Amos was writing. I was not convinced that Amos was not a real-life historical character...he just came to life! Now my children have read Ben and Me and they are in love too. Great way to sneak history into little minds. (0/0 people found this helpful)This is a great book for children that have begun to understand that history really has happened. It is told from the view of someone small. Children relate to that. Great story! CategoriesAmazon.co.uk places this book into the following categories:
