Well structured attractive book, for German AS/A level (12/12 people found this helpful)
Positives: Book is attractive and enjoyable to browse through. It has been written to cover the AS and A level German syllabus, and therefore includes all the relevant volcabulary, grammar structures so you are made aware of, and concentrate on, those aspects of German necessary to get a good AS or A level. There is a nice grammar section in the back. The book is a convenient size (about A4 by 1.5 cm thick). There is a web site, which has additional learning material.
Negatives: The book is really a classroom book, and relies on the Teachers book, a exercise resource book and a number of other materials. These would be outside the pocket of a single student. There are no grammar drills with answers in the back - you would need another book for this. As the book is focussed on AS and A level, it does not cover aspects of German outside of the syllabus. As AS and A level are aimed at 17 and 18 year olds, it can be rather "young" for adult learners.
