If your new to subject, this books a good starting point.
Mentions plenty of the battles, touches SAS/SBS briefly.
But I do agree with previous reviewer that space was wasted on uninteresing info/artwork.
Just shows again that Osprey have lost touch with their customers...they only have $$ in their eyes.

Bizarre choice of colour plates (7/9 people found this helpful)

I was really looking forward to this book. I've always been interested in a "what if" war with Sukarno trying to establish his Pacific union of Maphilindo (MAlayaPHILippinesINDOnesia)

Information & photos about the British in the 1960's are relatively easy to come by, but scarce for the Indonesians.

So, guess what? There is just one colour page for them.The text mentions in passing the RPKAD ("elite" para-commandos) & the KKO (Marine commandos) but no pictures or information about their uniforms/organisation/weapons.

They do manage a colour picture page devoted to a British Vice-Admiral, a Medical Corp sgt. tending to a baby, & a Warrant Officer from the Royal Army Pay Corps! Really useful!
