Excellent book for anyone from basic to advanced level (4/5 people found this helpful)
The book starts out by explaining telecommunications history and how data comms has developed from there. It is well thought out and flows well. The technical level in the second part of the book is advanced. It's the sort of book to buy when starting out in data comms, with a view to coming back to and re-reading as you learn. It's a very useful tool for anyone involved in training people in data comms.
