Reader Reviews:Songs of Innocence and Experience - Bed time reading! (34/35 people found this helpful)Being an A-Level student I am grateful for any concise and relevant help to see me through my exams. Thankfuly, Brodie's notes are exactly that. The commentary on each poem is to the point and not patronising when it comes to explaining what things mean (unlike in some study aids where it's more like "the idiots guide to..."!)There is a short piece about Blake and the time he wrote in - great for 'In context' litterature students and the criticism focusses mainly on the 'two contrary states' and duality that exists in Blake's work. This book is good for picking up thoughtful and original criticisms of Blake's work. Helpful for both GCSE and A-Level (certainly the best value A-level guide around). Recommended for reading the night before the exam to refresh your memory!!
