Brilliant!! (5/5 people found this helpful)

I am converted, I love this author and her style of writing and can't wait for more. Thoroughly enjoyed this book along with the previous the only bit i didn't like was coming to the end as i still wanted to read more about Daisy, Vera and even the cats. If anyone normally reads Martina Cole Mandasue Heller then you can add June Hampson to your list you will be glad you did. Next one please June !

Enjoyable (0/0 people found this helpful)

I was delighted to purchase this book after reading her previous novel.
I enjoyed this one better than the first, probably because i had got to know the characters better.I would suggest that you read both books for optimum enjoyment.
I read this in 2 days..it was a cosy comfortable read...loved the characters and felt as if i knew them....the ending was a surprise but a nice one.Hopefully the author will do a follow up.

Trusting Nobody Leads to Broken Hearts and Bodies (3/3 people found this helpful)

Tough little cookie Daisy Lane returns to seek her revenge on London gangster Roy Kemp in June Hampson's thrilling follow-on novel.

Set once again in Gosport, Hampshire in the 1960's, after a period away abroad Daisy returns, sets herself up running a bookshop opposite the cafe where she found and lost the love of her life.

With newfound knowledge, Daisy begins the long process of revenge against Roy, with twists, turns, happiness and sadness all down the line.

This sequel has lost none of the grittiness that the debut novel had, and is in itself enough of a story to be read without knowing what had happened previously.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it.

I loved it (3/4 people found this helpful)

I loved this book. It states on the cover, as good as Martina Cole or your money back. In fact, I think this book is better than Martina Cole whom I am a real fan. I you want a really good read then this is for you. Although it follows on from her first book you wouldn't need to read this to know what is going on. Lots of twists and turns and a great ending, one I didn't expect.
