Reader Reviews:The more you read the better it gets! (4/5 people found this helpful)I have owned this book since it was first published. Read it through and have been re-reading it ever since. It is one of those books that give hope or joy or peace or ideas whenever you need them. Just open at random for your need of the moment and there is your answer. If you want to give yourself a real gift read it cover to cover at least once a year. The author is a real Human Being and her book is as honest and alive as she is. A Book for All Our Relations (6/6 people found this helpful)Brooke Medicine Eagle's autobiography tells more than the story of one extraordinary woman. It invites the reader to experience his or her own spiritual self by being firmly grounded in the wisdom of the Earth. No faith is required, there is no dogma in this book and, thankfully, no burdensome beliefs to accept. Instead, there is a call to one's integrity, a sense of humor, and reverence for everything from sexuality to the Creator of all. Rarely does a book combine profound inspiration with simple and beautiful ritual practices that demonstrate our untapped human potential. If our Mother Earth could recommend a book for all her children, this would be it. A manual for becoming a true human being (7/7 people found this helpful)Brooke Medicine Eagle has written more than an autobiography with Buffalo Woman Comes Singing. She has shared her heart and soul in the story of her coming of age as the powerful and gifted Medicine Person who offers beautiful and power-filled ceremonies and exercises for the reader's personal growth. While telling her story, Brooke manages to reveal both painful personal processes and glorious revelations that empowered her. Her humanity glows brightly and helps the reader to feel a great affinity with her growing mission to help others love our Earth Mother. The appendices in the rear of the book offer many other books and resources for those who wish to follow the Rainbow Path of diversity and of love for this planet. This is a marvelous autobiography told in an inspiring manner with many practical suggestions for ways to foster our own metamorphosis.
