I bought this dictionary after reading a positive review on Amazon. I am delighted by the purchase. The type script is excellent and is very easy on the eye. The content is extensive and variations in meaning are covered. There is a basic grammar in both languages and an illustrated section covering topics such as animals, meals, clothing, fungi etc. etc. It is actually a pleasure to browse through. On the slightly negative side, it is a little too bulky for any but the most generous pocket, but wouldn't take up too much room in a briefcase, notebook bag or back pack.
I think you would be unlikely to need another dictionary

I like this dictionary. It is infinitely better than Trnka's in content (many more words) and layout. Get this one - it is really good. Although it is a Czech publisher (there is a pronunciatin guide for English but not Czech, though the latter is a phonetic language), there is a Czech grammar section for English purchasers too.
