Not 100% Bell Gold (1/1 people found this helpful)

This book sounds amusing, and the work of this Bell geezer should never be overlooked.
However, it's not a highlight of a Steve Bell resume. The actual humour is mostly derived from a series of passages likening Blair's once saviour-like standing in the party, and the blind support that went with it, to Mao's leadership cult-ure.
Cartoons are mostly used as illustrations to these passages.
Not to say that some of this can't match his "if" Guardian cartoons, some conjure chuckles, notably one writtn by John "Dog Du" Prescott. Some of the (real) quotes from Blair are funny in a sort of Haha-we've-got-an-idiot-running-us-Bush-style way...
Get you an "If" book, people, much better value...
