Very good (0/0 people found this helpful)

Very good book to understand how kids learn and tailor our actions to make increase their potential

OK but not as detailed as I thought (0/1 people found this helpful)

but my baby is 11 months old. Also it advised giving formula to a breastfed baby to help the baby to sleep which is rubbish.

TV series (0/0 people found this helpful)

I only saw some of the TV series and this book enabled me to catch up with missed content. The format is very easy to dip in and out of. It is helpful for home study / ideas in parenting skills.

Interesting & reliable book (0/0 people found this helpful)

I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant & got this book as it focused on the unborn baby aswell as the 1st few years.

As its linked to Robert Winston I found the familiar name reassuring, as some of the books seem to have conflicting advice. It provided a different angle to some of the books which focus more on exactly what you should expect when, as it included a bit more interesting background information about genetics aswell as what you should expect, but more importantly why, which is different to many of the books on the market.

I found this an interesting & useful read, & its also well laid out & easy to flick to the bits you want.

Brilliant and informative (0/0 people found this helpful)

As a parent of two both under four I have read several books on child development and I have to say this is the best so far. Not only is it interesting and ties in with the programmes you may have seen, but also it is reassuring to know that it is based on up to date responsible clinical research, rather than some mad child guru's opinion. I have found it both helpful and reassuring.
