Reader Reviews:Walks, treks and climbs for everyone in Argentina and Chile (5/5 people found this helpful)An incredibly useful guide, providing both general information on Argentina and Chile - transport, customs, food, maps, flora and fauna - and a series of graded walks/expeditions that have been tried and tested by the author throughout the countries, ensuring that some or all of the book will be essential wherever you decide to visit. Treks are graded by length, difficulty and expected time to complete, ordered by location and are accompanied by accurate maps and useful information on bothys/refuges etc, local wildlife and other points of interest that can be seen at specific times of the year. They are flexible and easily adapted to suit all standards. I really enjoyed reading the guide and found it invaluable as it allows dipping in and out of it depending on where you are going, and after three weeks it was extremely dog-eared! Bear in mind that prices stated for Argentina (food/accommodation etc) are now lower due to their financial crisis.
