This is a very readable miscellany with lots of interesting little details and snippets of information about Christmas in Elizabethan times. There are even some recipes to try out. The book is perfect for just dipping into and would make a lovely gift. It is also ideal as fun background material for any students starting on Shakespeare for the first time and wanting to learn something of his period in history. Overall a very accessible book.
