I had already seen this dictionary in use and bought it because of the amount of info it contains (which other positive reviews have already discussed). However equally important for me was the print size, colour coding, layout and type of paper. Recycled or rough paper makes reading very difficult and this has smooth 'shiny' paper, which is clear to read. Someone without prior knowledge would benefit from "look inside" facility and info on paper type and book dimensions. Delivery was excellent as always. Ordered Tuesday, delivered Thursday.

Have used this dictionary since starting Spanish 4 years ago as a complete beginner. Easy to use but very comprehensive wth lots of examples and explanations of everyday language. Extra details and information also support the more advanced learner. A must for anyone learning Spanish.

As a beginner, with a little knowledge of the language from holidays, and wanting to learn the language more easily I have found this dictionary a very useful tool to helping me with the BBC Spanish course "Suenos World Spanish". It is early days, but I am determined not to give up this time!!

I haven't found that this dictionary is great, i'm an A level spanish student and I've already found that some of the words I've looked for haven't been in here. That aside it's a good dictionary, easy to use, easy to nunderstand and the grammer section in the back is very useful especially if you didn't have much experience with the language. I feel this is a dictionary for an intermediate student but starts to lose its value at AS and would be pretty useless for a university student.

Mine is not the new edition, but the one i do have is a fabulous resource. virtually every word i have looked for has been there (unlike Oxford mini-dictionary). verb conjugations essential for those grammar classes. so well-thumbed, a few pages are falling out! Highly recommended for a spanish student.
