Without doubt the Collins Spanish Dictionary is a reasonably-priced, thorough and well-edited dictionary.
However, linguists who are looking for a dictionary focused on European / Castillian Spanish are likely to be disappointed by its heavy emphasis on Latin American Spanish and its lack of European Spanish coverage. In this respect, the Larousse unabridged dictionary is a much better choice Larousse Unabridged Dictionary: Spanish-English / English-Spanish (Larousse Diccionario/Dictionary (English-Spanish/Espanol-Ingles)).

This the best Spanish Dictionary you would ever want to buy - forget all those small pocket things and phrase books. OK so you cant put it in your handbag - weighs a ton - but its worth every penny / euro, so go for it..

Living out in Spain we quickly outgrew our smaller dictionary, and needed one which expanded our vocab. This does it all and then some! In local bookshops they want twice the price for an imported one, so I was well impressed with the price, and VERY fast delivery out to Spain - only 4 days! I'd certainly recommend it.

WOW THOUGHT IT WOULD FIT IN MY POCKET, IT'S MASSIVE WHAT A BARGAIN FANTASTIC,I AM LEARNING SPANISH WITH ROSETTA STONE WHICH IS GREAT BUT THIS DICTIONARY IS A MUST,DELIVERED QUICK,LOVE SHOPPING WITH AMAZON.
