This dictionary is of no use to the English person learning Swedish, as it contains no information about the gender or the plural form of Swedish nouns.
This point needs to be stressed, as the pocket version of this dictionary from Norstedts (the one containing 32,000 words and phrases) DOES include such vital information.
Unfortunately there is little choice of dictionary for the English-speaking student of Swedish, once he or she has outgrown the pocket dictionary...
There are plenty of people studying Swedish, so maybe publishers can address this gap in the market, and come up with a dictionary which matches the quality of the pocket Norstedts dictionary, but which contains a larger vocabulary.

This "ordbok" is primarily for Swedes learning English rather than reverse. IT WON'T HELP YOU for example with pronounciation of swedish words or give you information about genders and pluralforms of nouns in Swedish. But IT WILL GIVE YOU examples of how specific words may be used in different contexts, such as "god" (swedish) en god vän = a great friend; var så god = Here you are, help yourself, please; gå i god för = guarantee; det är (finns) gott om = there is (are) plenty of... ...
Depending on in what purpose you will use this dicitionary I've found this dictionary very helpful in my study of English (throughout school) and nowadays as a reference. But I wouldn't recommend this for a beginner of Swedish. At least not before you know genders and pronunciation, in that case this dictionary won't help you!
