Copper: A Dog's Life (6/6 people found this helpful)

A lovely read, best canine book I've come across in a long time. I particularly liked the fact that Copper's owner recognised that he was street wise enough to be able to lead both a wild and domesticated life. His hearing difficulties will be a lesson to every dog owner. Highly recommended.
For what it's worth, I seriously disliked Marley and Me.

THE Dogs Life (2/3 people found this helpful)

Copper's story is a must for all animal lovers. Witty, charming and at times rather moving. Annabel Goldsmith's writing brings this fellow to life so that you really feel that you know him.

A "grrrrrrrrreat" book (9/9 people found this helpful)

Oh, that little devil! I loved this book. Started reading it en route to family Christmas holiday and couldn't put it down. I hope it will encourage folks to have their pets neutered and spayed. Of course, I don't think anything would have kept Copper from his adventures. Interesting the way Copper makes peace treaties with wild park animals and enjoys good pub grub with his mates. I laughed out loud when I read the plan to save Copper in the event of a ruling against his master in court. I will leave that for new readers to discover. All in all, I would give this book a BIG thumbs up. I will visit the book again and again as I would an old friend.
