Reader Reviews:Fascinating ethnology of the Aglo Ewe (0/0 people found this helpful)The synopsis above is a pretty concise explanation of the book. Geurts does a great job of breaking with the old fashioned and cold 'model' based ethnographies of old school anthropology and really tries to get inside the culture. Her focus on how the senses are embodied in cultural practices is fascinating and the book is highly recommended for those studying either African society or the psychology of the senses and sensation.
