This book is a complete classic that will delight children from a very early age. We started with this book when our son was about eight months old and he has enjoyed it ever since. Each page has an animal hidden behind card doors and toddlers simply love opening the doors to reveal the animal behind. Once again these animals give scope for further fun with parents doing the sounds of the animals, which in time children will copy. We found that when we did the animal sounds our little boy would carefully study what sounds we made, leading to our total delight one day when we heard the sound of a dog coming from our little boy. Personally I feel that the pictures of the animals could be a little larger, filling more of the pages - but this is a very minor niggle. The book is a board book and thus able to withstand rough treatment, though the doors which reveal the animals can be more fragile. This book is very simple but you will find that your children will want you to read it to them again and again.

What can I say. This book is wounderful. My daughter loves it and always wants to read it for bed time she loves the flip up bits and making all the sounds. It is a book I buy for all the my friends and familys children. This book is of good quality and stads up to a lot of wear and tear which is good because this book goes every where with my daughter. I would even say it is her security 'Blanket'. A definate must have. Good price as well.

This book is my favourite book of all time. I always used to make my mom read it to me when i was little all the time, and I used to love pulling out all the pictures. This book is ideal for the younger reader as a bed time story, and I never seemed to get tired of it. I still love reading my worn out yellow book now

This has got to be one of the best presents my son received for his 1st birthday! He loves lifting the flaps to reveal the animals. As he gets a bit older, we'll be able to teach him some of the noises that the animals make, too. The card pages make it easy for small fingers to turn. Definitely a good buy for older babies/young toddlers.

This is a brilliant book for under twos, with flaps they can lift so see the animals underneath. My 18 month old daughter loves this book and wants to read it every night before bed. Highly recommended.
