Old-fashioned romantic crime thriller! (20/21 people found this helpful)
This is an old-fashioned crime story in a similar vein to Agatha Christie, but with more than a touch of simmering romance!
The story revolves around a tight-knit group of individuals thrown together while travelling from Egypt to Cyprus - when one of the party dies suddenly is it suicide, as widely accepted, or something more sinister?
Amanda, our heroine, must stumble through the tangle of gossip, deception, adultery and various murder attempts in order to find the truth - aided by the mysterious artist, Steve Howard.
Descriptions of old world Cyprus, prior to the outbreak of mass-tourism, are evocative and charming, as are the characterisations of the group of potential suspects. Great fun!
