Reader Reviews:Brilliant! (4/4 people found this helpful)Being a massive fan of A Christmas Carol (in any form) I treated myself to this book last year. I read it then and I've just read it again and was still enthralled. Simon Callow has written a good book and reference point for all things Dickensian when it comes to Christmas. The actual story is as it should be and never fails to inspire the Christmas spirit. The extra information in the book provides enough information so that you can create a Victorian celebration for yourself. A Charming Present - Not Only for Christmas (11/11 people found this helpful)Simon Callow is one of Britain's best known (and also best loved actors) - featuring in such films as 'A Room with a View' or 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'. He also tours the English speaking world in a programme devoted to Charles Dickens - and this is what makes him such a suitable author for this book.
