The tales of doctoring and trekking in Nepal are great, how many people would take their pregnant wife on a tramp through Nepal! There are definate highs and lows in the book which give it a great feeling of honesty. The medicine makes for refreshing reading, todays modern doctor would struggle to make the diagnoses which the author carefully deduces from simple medical history taking and examination.
