Reader Reviews:A compulsive page turner. (0/0 people found this helpful)A great read. This is the first James Patterson book I've read, and now I'll be looking to read his others. Especially those featuring Alex Cross.
First and last time I'll bother (0/0 people found this helpful)This is the first and last time I'll bother reading anything by this author or from this series. The plot (such as it is) seems to have more to do with how much he lusts after his new girlfriend and how much he likes his new car. As for the 'formidable genius of Alex Cross' - he spends the entire book turning up at crime scenes and making no intelligent progress. At one point, one of the (ridiculously unbelievable) bad guy says 'don't underestimate Alex Cross'....NO - do! Do underestimate him. He's rubbish. I can't believe this dirge has received favourable reviews. Not sure this is quite as good as others..... (0/0 people found this helpful)Not a bad book but certainly not his best. The plot is predictable where believalble and unpredictable where it is unbelievable. A little disappointing... (0/0 people found this helpful)..because I think that the Cross series are becoming a little predictable and 'the same'. I hope we get a more exciting next book. As much as I loved Alex Cross I hope I don't get too bored with this series. Enjoying the Womens Murder Mystery Club books more at the moment. A good read for Patterson Fans (0/0 people found this helpful)As an avid fan of Patterson I really enjoyed this book, bring on the sequel I can't wait.
