There aren't many maps of Dubai that are particularly good, not even to buy in the city itself. If you want to explore the whole of the city I would recommend buying this map to use alongside a fold-out one.
If you buy this book make sure you log onto the Explorer website and print out the latest updates otherwise this book won't be of much use in the new areas such as the Marina, Ibn Battutta Mall area and many others.

A few years ago Dubai introduced road numbers and that was hailed as a big development. Now the city has a map, another big step we are told. Just don't try driving with it.
