Ideal introduction to Photoshop (28/28 people found this helpful)
As I'd never used Potoshop before, I was really struggling just using the manual provided with the software. Easy Adobe Photoshop Elements took away all that frustration. Everything is illustrated with loads of colour pictures, which are a great inspiration to start experimenting - what a great idea for software that's all about visual images! The instructions are well spaced, which makes the information much easier to absorb. The book concentrates on explaining the basics in a way that is easy to use, rather than going into exhausting detail on every feature. The result is that I started to actually use and enjoy Photoshop instead of swearing at it.

Forget all those books that waffle on about digital photography in general, if you want to start off learning how to do the sort of things you need to know to get the best from your camera you could do a lot worse than start here.
As a published photographer with extensive Photoshop experience I picked this book as a present for my PC-phobic dad and he hasn't put it down since unwrapping it. It's simple, basic, straight forward and every page says something worth reading.
Impressed.
