This is very good for complete beginners to learn French,as it has very clear pronunciation and useful hints.

I own these CDs along with the Smart French series, and Practice Makes Perfect, and I found that the combination was a good one: Easy Learning French (Collins Easy Learning Audio Course) makes you master useful basic sentences, while Practice Makes Perfect: Complete French Grammar (Practice Makes Perfect Series) teaches you by writing and SmartFrench - Introduction to French, Vol.1 adds great tips on pronunciation to their efficient explanations of the structure of the language. Collins and Smart French are downloadable onto your ipods and mp3 players. All three are awesome together.

Very pleased with this method of learning. Having learnt some french at school many years ago, it is a useful reminder.

myself and my 8 year old really thought this worked. it gave me confidence back in my schooldays french, and she had confidence in asking and not being phased when you get 'extra' response back!!
i would definitely recommend for total beginners as a starter package for those key phrases.

For anyone who wants to learn the basics of speaking and listening to French and hear the improvements quickly this is an excellent, inexpensive introduction. It is easy to follow and very effective. It is also ideal for anyone who learned French at school and wants a refresher course.
I am pleased to see that a follow up course is being released in September 2009.
