Reader Reviews:Tailored for use by American children. (7/7 people found this helpful)Bought for an inqisitive, intelligent 7 year old granddaughter who has done history projects at school. We wanted to learn more about the great fire of London and the times of Charles II but found virtually nothing. Encyclopaedia Britannica 2007 Children's Encyclopedia is very good for American education but most disappointing for use this side of the Atlantic. The name is misleading it should be Encyclopaedia Americana. The index includes minor US authors but ignores such as J Austen, H G Wells, R Kipling and many other examples. We wish we had found better ways to spend our money. Vivid and engaging (3/4 people found this helpful)Graphics & videos kept my two amused for hours! The CD-Rom is simple to navigate and has helped my children to accomplish their homework assignments with ease!
