Great Book, Well Worth the Buy (0/0 people found this helpful)

I brought this book after finding out I have a yeast intolerance. The recipes are great, easy to follow, and taste wonderful!! Most of the ingredients are easy to get in the UK and really do follow a low carb/low sugar diet. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in a healthier lifestyle as there are so many different recipes with some suggestions for a low fat option if that is what you want. A really great cookbook, can't say enough about it!!

Easily adaptable for the UK market. (14/14 people found this helpful)

I like this book, at first I was a little frustrated, as many of the receipes in the baking section required something called milk and egg protien powder - never heard of it and assumed another US product not available in UK. How wrong I was! This is widely available at good health and food stores, and of course online.

This book is very suitable for people following Atkins in the weightloss phases and has some new ideas - I find many low carb books re-hash the same old receipes that can be found online for free anyway - but this does have some original receipes!

Sound buy! (24/24 people found this helpful)

I ordered several lo-carb cookbooks, and this one looks to be one of the best. The recipes are geared towards North Americans, but that shouldn't sway from buying the book, as they look delicious. Pumpkin coconut muffins, seseme seed beef, stuffed cabbage rolls, winter pork stew, baked fish macadamia, garlic prawns, maryland crab cakes, walnut seseme chicken, zucchi-tater pancakes, lemon chess custard, rhubarb crumble, oh I can hardly wait to start cooking!! The ingredients not easily found at the supermarket, which are minimal, can be found in a popular chain health food store. The author gives the nutritional information per serving as well as reduced-fat variations, and measurements are in cups and spoons, not a problem these days. If you like pumpkin, peanutbutter, and chocolate, than this cookbook is for you!
