Faceless (0/0 people found this helpful)

I have never read a martina cole book before so didnt know what to expect. But crikey was i impressed absolutley amazing!! I was hooked from beginning to end and unlike most other books the ending wasnt predicatable from the start. I would recommend anyone to give this book a try as long as you arent easily offended that is. Enjoy!

Fast-paced, but hard to sympathise with (1/1 people found this helpful)

The central character in this book is hard to sympathise with, especially at the start, and there are too many others. The author has a gift for giving the essence of a character in a short passage, but it is difficult to get involved with most of them as they are not developed enough. This makes it easier to tolerate the violence, which would otherwise be distressing. Although there is plenty of action, the book seemed too long.

gripping (5/7 people found this helpful)

As this book arrived i knew that i was going to be gripped as any Martina Cole fan is. She describes the world of crime and her characters so that you feel you know them personally but in some cases you are pleased you dont actually know them. Faceless was just sheer pleasure to read. i just wish her books were made into tv movies that would boost the rationg on the 9pm watershed
well done Martina

Poor read (7/22 people found this helpful)

I started this full of hope as i know she has written lots of books and i thought i might have discovered a new (to me)author whose books would keep me reading for ages. Sadly, i gave it up around Chapter 3, it was so poorly written. Repetative, do- it - by -numbers writing, no suspense, no mystery, flat and boring.

dangerous lady (3/4 people found this helpful)

what a wonderful author this lady is and where she finds the imagination I will always wonder I could not put the book down
