My four year old daughter loves this book. The jigsaws are made of cardboard and inserted into the right hand pages. Quite sturdy for little hands, although would perhaps not stand up to much chewing from a younger reader. Each jigsaw is embellished with silver and gold foil with a 'christmas' shaped piece in the centre, all are nine piece and include classic Usbourne 'find the yellow duck' on every jigsaw. The story itself is not one of the better Usbourne offerings and I tired of reading it quite quickly, but this book is worth the price just for the illustrations and composition of the puzzles. We went away last Christmas and my daughter had no problems completing the jigsaws on the journey as they all fit nice and snug on the pages.
