Fantastic Translation of an Old Classic (4/4 people found this helpful)
I feel that the impressive aspect of this book, after having it read it thoroughly, is the quality translation by Dr. Hugh Aplin. As I, personally, know 'Faust' well in its Russian format it gives me great pleasure to see it so sympathetically and lovingly reproduced in this translation. Often it seems that the quality and flow of the English text surpasses the brilliance of the original. A wonderful story, but a fantastic translation...highly recommended.
